Finally we arrived in Maros region, where the Sultan Hasanuddin airport is. We were heading to Makassar from Maros, in the car full with aircon but we could still feel the heat from outside. It was Izzy’s first time visiting South Sulawesi. After collecting our baggage, we went straight to our hotel in the city of Makassar. We stayed at Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla. The hotel lobby was quite big, and was busy when we arrived, we were waiting for a bit on the sofa, and bought some fresh fruits from a kiosk in the lobby. We needed to freshen up ourselves as the weather was bloody hot!
Akhirnya kami sampai di wilayah Maros, tempat dimana bandara Sultan Hasanuddin berada. Kami menuju Makassar dari Maros, di dalam mobil penuh dengan AC tetapi kami masih bisa merasakan panas dari luar. Ini adalah pertama kalinya Izzy berkunjung ke Sulawesi Selatan. Setelah mengambil bagasi, kami langsung menuju hotel kami di kota Makassar. Kami menginap di Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla. Lobi hotel cukup besar, dan sibuk ketika kami tiba, kami menunggu sebentar di sofa, dan membeli beberapa buah segar dari kios di lobi. Kami perlu menyegarkan diri karena cuacanya sangat panas!

(+) The location is in the heart of Makassar, very strategic. Not far from Losari Beach and Lapangan Karebosi as the city landmarks. They also provided a bottle of orange drink and some snacks in our hotel room for free.
(-) No welcome drinks.
(+) Lokasi di jantung kota Makassar, sangat strategis. Tidak jauh dari Pantai Losari dan Lapangan Karebosi sebagai landmark kota. Mereka juga menyediakan sebotol minuman jeruk dan beberapa makanan ringan di kamar hotel kami gratis.
(-) Tidak ada minuman penyambut.
Our stay with this hotel was great. 4-star hotel, yet they offered quite reasonable value. We managed to meet some friends and family who live in the city. So long Makassar!
Kami tinggal di hotel ini sangat bagus. Hotel bintang 4, namun menawarkan nilai yang cukup masuk akal. Kami berhasil bertemu dengan beberapa teman dan keluarga yang tinggal di kota. Sampai jumpa di Makassar!
