My baby bump has started to show more, it’s 4 months old!

We continued our journey flying to London, United Kingdom, from Istanbul, Turkiye (I heard that’s how they spell it now, no more Turkey). It took around 5 hours, but it felt shorter. We definitely enjoyed our flight!
LONDON
It’s summer 2022, I love sunny days in London, and luckily the temprature is not too hot at the moment, it’s around 28 to 30 degrees, yet windy at times. The weather keeps changing everyday. After visiting Buckingham palace, we found a ‘hidden gem’ nearby the apartment where we stay: it’s a Malaysian restaurant! It’s called Med Salleh Kopitiam. I love me some Asian food and its sambal! When we arrived at the restaurant for lunch, we were their first customers, the resto was empty. However not long after, people kept coming in, and the resto soon became busy. The owner of the restaurant was so friendly and kind, as well as the waitress. They both gave Izzy some free snacks. Izzy was a happy chappy!
Yes, I’m preggo, as we planned. Alhamdulillah, TG!
No more nausea and puking! It’s Summer time, it’s time for holiday! We flew with Turkish Airlines for the first time, and it was actually quite nice. We spent our time chilling at the Saphire Lounge / Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal 3 (Gate 6), while waiting for our 1st flight from Jakarta to Istanbul. We flew for 12 hours and transitted in Istanbul for another 3 hours. We enjoyed the Turkish Airlines’ business lounge there. We were quite lucky to get the Business Class promo tickets, as we didn’t have to pay as much, but still, the global recession definitely affected the ticket prices, and the tickets were still more expensive than the usual at the end. Huffh!

LONDON
It’s really goooood to be back here after the pandemic break, as we didn’t go back to the UK in 2021. Anyway, it’s our 3rd day in London. I woke up at 2:30 AM, still struggling with jetlag a bit (I got jealous of Daddy and Izzy, as they adjusted their sleeping hours so quickly, and got their jetlag fixed on the 2nd day, how unfair!). It’s been ages since my last writing, so I thought maybe it’s the time to start it again, as I’m kind of in a ‘dead style’ at the moment, yes we call it ‘mati gaya’ in Bahasa. LOL.
We visited some touristy spots as per usual, such as Hyde Park, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Natural History Museum, etc. It wasn’t our first time visiting, and we just wanted to check them out again, because we missed it! I also wanted to check how Big Ben looks after the long renovation. Last time we visited the building was covered with construction stuff. We also went to Bella Italia, the Italian restaurant we had previously been to for brunch. We needed an energy boost before walking around the city, and hopping from underground station to other stations.

On our last day in London, we ordered a taxi to take us to St. Pancras International train station. We then traveled with a train for an hour and a quarter to Leicester, Daddy’s hometown.

We went to several restaurants in Leicester, a Thai restaurant that was called Giggling Squid, definitely took our heart, as all the menu we had were so tasty. A local restaurant that’s named The Man At Arms, a gastro-pub, was also entertaining for our tummies. Isabelle’s Grandad took us there, and we really enjoyed their food. The portions were massive and so yummy! We also visited a museum in Leicester city center, New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, and Leicester’s well-known Bradgate park. We enjoyed the outdoor walking, looking through the fields. Isabelle’s Grandpa drove us there.

We were ready for a return road trip to Salisbury Plain, in Wiltshire, where Stonehenge is at. It took 3 hours to get there by car, and another 3 hours to come back to Leicester. Phew! It was tiring yet fun, and as soon as we entered that historical building area we were blown away - almost literally, as the weather was rotten. :(
WILTSHIRE
I wish we could have stayed longer in the UK. We initially planed to stay for more than a month. However something came up, and I couldn’t miss it, otherwise I would probably have had to wait for another year. We had to reschedule our trip back home due to attending my inauguration as a lawyer, and my Attorney swearing-in ceremony at Jakarta High Court that had been postponed for months. Phew! It was bittersweet that the date was finally set: bitter as the tickets back home were so expensive and we had to cut off our holiday, but it’s also sweet at the end, because everything went smoothly, and I’m so glad that I’m now officially an attorney. :) So long the UK!
