Staycation #22: Harris Suites FX Jakarta (Bilingual)

It’s time to pack-up and go! We chose the Harris hotel at FX Sudirman since our apartment‘s kitchen is currently under renovation, and the location is very strategic. It’s not far from our apartment, Daddy’s office, and the Gelora Bung Karno stadium. Being on top of the mall was also really handy! We were planning to do some jogging, and we did!

Saatnya berkemas dan berangkat! Kami memilih hotel Harris di FX Sudirman karena dapur apartemen kami sedang dalam renovasi, dan lokasinya sangat strategis. Letaknya tidak jauh dari apartemen kami, kantor Daddy, dan stadion Gelora Bung Karno. Berada di atas mal juga sangat berguna! Kami berencana untuk jogging, dan ternyata berhasil!

1. The Room:

Layout and Interior: 3.5/5 - 27 m²/ 290 ft². The room was quite colourful, dominated by orange color. It’s not big, yet it was enough space for Abby to crawl around. It was simple, not so much furniture and decoration, which is good when you have an adventurous baby who likes to pull, grab, throw, and bite just about everything!

The View: 5/5 - Perfect view of South Jakarta, we could see the Gelora Bung Karno stadium from our giant window, we could even watch people walking around or sitting in the stadium. I noticed the bottom area of the window glasses has a special tint, so the view was zoomed in a bit, it made the GBK stadium look even closer.

1. Ruangan:

Tata ruang dan bagian dalamnya: 3.5/5 - 27 m²/ 290 ft². Ruangannya cukup berwarna, didominasi warna oranye. Memang tidak besar, namun cukup ruang bagi Abby untuk merangkak. Sederhana, tidak terlalu banyak perabotan dan dekorasi, yang mana bagus bila kamu memiliki bayi petualang yang suka menarik, meraih, melempar, dan menggigit apa saja!

Pemandangannya: 5/5 - Pemandangan Jakarta Selatan yang sempurna, kami bisa melihat stadion Gelora Bung Karno dari jendela raksasa kami, bahkan kami bisa menyaksikan orang-orang berjalan-jalan atau duduk-duduk di dalam stadion. Saya perhatikan bagian bawah kaca jendelanya diberi lapisan khusus, sehingga pemandangannya sedikit diperbesar, membuat stadion GBK terlihat semakin dekat.

Bathroom: 3/5 - It was a basic shower room with a single sink. We didn’t expect more, as long as everything works as how it should be, and it was clean. No complain.

Kamar Mandi: 3/5 - Itu adalah kamar mandi dasar dengan satu wastafel. Kami tidak berharap lebih, asalkan semuanya berjalan sebagaimana mestinya, dan bersih. Tidak ada keluhan.

Toiletries: 3/5 - Not my favorite, but it was sufficient.

Perlengkapan Mandi: 3/5 - Bukan favorit saya, tapi itu sudah cukup.

Room Service: 5/5 - They provided us some tea bags and coffee sachets in the room which was good. We didn’t order their food, because we prefered to buy the food from the FX mall downstairs.

Servis Kamar: 5/5 - Mereka memberi kami beberapa kantong teh dan kopi sachet di kamar yang bagus. Kami tidak memesan makanannya, karena kami lebih memilih membeli makanan dari FX mall di lantai bawah.

2. Amenities:

Breakfast: 5/5 - For a 4-star hotel, the selection of the menu were varied, all the food we had tasted yummy too! Not a big fan of the artifical juices though. However, it was kind of expected, as most of the 4-star hotel we have stayed at only served that kind of juice.

Sarapan Pagi: 5/5 - Untuk hotel bintang 4, pilihan menunya bervariasi, semua makanan yang kami rasakan juga enak! Bukan penggemar jus buatan. Namun, itu sudah diduga, karena sebagian besar hotel bintang 4 yang pernah kami tinggali hanya menyajikan jus semacam itu.

3. Location: 5/5 - Very strategic, near the Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), not far from Daddy’s office and our place too.

4. Overall service: 4.5/5 - No complaints, they were polite and helpful when needed.

5. Value: 5/5 - It wasn’t expensive, so I think the rate we paid was reasonable.

3. Lokasi: 5/5 - Strategis sekali, dekat Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), tidak jauh dari kantor Daddy dan tempat kami juga.

4. Servis Secara Keseluruhan:  4.5/5 - Tidak ada keluhan, mereka sopan dan membantu bila diperlukan.

5. Harga: 5/5 - Itu tidak mahal, jadi menurut saya tarif yang kami bayarkan masuk akal.

We really enjoyed our jogging as we strolled around the Gelora Bung Karno in the morning. We also took the MRT to go to Plaza Indonesia on our 2nd day of our stay. All in all it's a solid hotel for short or longer stays. The location is spot on, and is really close to the MRT. With the mall below, you also have plenty on your doorstep, and you're not far from GBK and other malls if needs be. :)

Kami sangat menikmati jogging kami saat berjalan-jalan di sekitar Gelora Bung Karno di pagi hari. Kami juga naik MRT untuk pergi ke Plaza Indonesia pada hari ke-2 kami menginap. Secara keseluruhan, ini adalah hotel yang solid untuk masa menginap jangka pendek atau panjang. Lokasinya tepat, dan dekat banget dengan MRT. Dengan adanya mal di bawah, kamu juga memiliki banyak hal di depan pintu kamu, dan tidak jauh dari GBK dan mal lainnya jika diperlukan. :)
