Eid Mubarak 1440 H and happy holiday, Beary good people!
We are finally back home after having a staycation for 3 days nearby Istiqlal mosque. We chose to stay at Marc Hotel Passer Baroe (it’s in the same building as Pasar Baru Mansion) which is less than 5 minutes walking distance to Istiqlal Mosque in the center of Jakarta. That said, we ended up getting an online taxi to get to the Istiqlal Mosque for Eid Ul-Fitr prayer because we are just a bit stupid at times. *palm face* We paid 30k IDR for the 300m trip, or even less than that, and I was like “oh we are already here!? So fast!” I didn’t know it was THAT close. For what it's worth, I saved my high heels. Lol.
It was actually a family staycation: Izzy’s aunties, uncles, cousins, and grandmas were there too. We stayed in 3 different type of hotel rooms (Club Room King, Executive Room and Deluxe Queen Room) on the same floor. In fact it was next to each other and in front of each other. However Mommy Bear will only review the larger type of room amongst the three: the Club room, and the smaller Deluxe queen room. By the way, I’m sorry for the pictures of the rooms. Since Mommy still had to work even on Monday the 3rd, and on Tuesday the 4th (the days before Eid), everyone had been enjoying the hotel, minus Mommy. So, the rooms were already messy when Mommy arrived. Daddy and Mommy tried to make the rooms a bit cleaner and less messy for the sake of taking pictures.

Kami akhirnya kembali ke rumah setelah staycation selama 3 hari di dekat masjid Istiqlal. Kami memilih untuk menginap di Marc Hotel Passer Baroe (berada di gedung yang sama dengan Pasar Baru Mansion) yang berjarak kurang dari 5 menit berjalan kaki ke Masjid Istiqlal di pusat Jakarta. Walaupun demikian, kami akhirnya menggunakan taksi online untuk pergi ke Masjid Istiqlal untuk sholat Idul Fitri karena kami terkadang agak bodoh. *Telapak tangan menutupi wajah* Kami membayar 30rb untuk perjalanan 300m, atau bahkan kurang dari itu, dan saya berkata "oh kita sudah di sini!? Cepat banget!" Saya tidak tahu ternyata sedekat itu. Tapi ya itung-itung, saya menyelamatkan sepatu hak tinggi saya. Haha.
Itu sebenarnya adalah staycation keluarga: tante-tante, om-om, sepupu-sepupu, dan nenek-neneknya Izzy juga ada di sana. Kami tinggal di 3 tipe kamar hotel yang berbeda (Club Room King, Executive Room dan Deluxe Queen Bed) di lantai yang sama. Sebenarnya bersebelahan dan berhadapan satu sama lain. Namun Mommy Bear hanya akan meninjau tipe kamar yang lebih besar di antara ketiganya: Club Room, dan kamar Deluxe queen bed yang lebih kecil. Ngomong-ngomong, saya minta maaf untuk foto-foto kamarnya. Karena Mommy masih harus bekerja bahkan pada hari Senin tanggal 3, dan pada hari Selasa tanggal 4 (hari-hari sebelum Idul Fitri), semua orang telah menikmati hotel, kecuali Mommy. Jadi, kamar-kamar sudah berantakan ketika Mommy tiba. Daddy dan Mommy berusaha membuat kamar-kamar itu sedikit lebih bersih dan tidak berantakan untuk dipotret.

1. The Room:
Layout and Interior: 3/5 - 41 m²/441 ft². It was nice and simple. I like their big grey sofa with lots of pillows, it was comfy, and the painting beautified the room.
The View: 3/5 - We stayed on the 10th floor of the building. The views were okay, I liked because we could see the Monas (Monumen Nasional) and the Istiqlal mosque as they are Jakarta’s landmarks. However since the hotel is surrounded by people’s houses, old restaurants and old shops, since it’s in Jakarta old town area. The rest of the buildings don’t look nice, dirty and obsolete. Too bad the windows also were dirty.
1. Ruangan:
Tata ruang dan bagian dalamnya: 3/5 - 41 m²/441 ft². Bagus dan sederhana. Saya suka sofa abu-abu besar mereka dengan banyak bantal, nyaman, dan lukisannya memperindah ruangan.
Pemandangannya: 3/5 - Kami tinggal di lantai 10 gedung. Pemandangannya oke, saya suka karena kita bisa melihat Monas (Monumen Nasional) dan masjid Istiqlal karena mereka adalah landmark Jakarta. Namun karena hotel ini dikelilingi oleh rumah-rumah penduduk, restoran-restoran tua dan toko-toko tua, karena terletak di kawasan kota tua Jakarta. Sisa bangunan tidak terlihat bagus, kotor, dan usang. Sayang sekali jendelanya juga kotor.
Bathroom: 3/5 - One single round sink, and it has a bathtub and a hairdryer. Nothing really special, but it was clean enough. The bathroom looks like just a normal bathroom.
Kamar Mandi: 3/5 - Satu wastafel bulat tunggal, dan terdapat bathtub dan hairdryer. Tidak ada yang benar-benar istimewa, tapi cukup bersih. Kamar mandinya terlihat seperti kamar mandi biasa.
Deluxe Queen Bed

1. The Room:
Layout and Interior: 3/5 - 26 m²/278 ft². Again, the painting caught my eye. The room was small, but it was neat. The bed as comfy as the Club room.
The View: 2/5 - The view was not nice, but the sky was bright at least. But honestly speaking, I prefer to shut the curtain. It was just full of old filthy houses or shops.
1. Ruangan:
Tata ruang dan bagian dalamnya: 3/5 - 26 m²/278 ft². Sekali lagi, lukisan itu menarik perhatian saya. Ruangan itu kecil, tapi rapi. Tempat tidur senyaman Club Room.
Pemandangannya: 2/5 - Pemandangannya tidak bagus, tapi setidaknya langit cerah. Tapi jujur saja, saya lebih suka menutup tirai. Itu hanya penuh dengan rumah-rumah tua atau toko-toko yang kotor.
Bathroom: 2.5/5 - The sink was a nice round one, although it was just a single sink, but nothing was really special for the bathroom. The shower was alright, no bathtub, but the hot water was good enough.
Toiletries: 2.5/5 - They were okay. No shower gel, only soap. But at least they also provide a hairdryer, the Dental Kit, as well as the Vanity Kit.
Kamar Mandi: 2.5/5 - Wastafelnya bulat bagus, meskipun itu hanya satu wastafel, tapi tidak ada yang benar-benar istimewa untuk kamar mandi. Kamar mandinya lumayan, tidak ada bathtub, tapi air panasnya cukup bagus.
Perlengkapan Mandi: 2.5/5 - Oke-oke saja. Tidak ada shower gel, hanya sabun. Tapi setidaknya mereka juga menyediakan sebuah hairdryer, Dental Kit, serta Vanity Kit.
2. Amenities:
Swimming Pool: 4/5 - The swimming pool is on the 7th floor. It’s a big pool, and it has quite a nice view of Jakarta.
2. Fasilitas:
Kolam Renang: 4/5 - Kolam renang berada di lantai 7. Kolam renangnya besar, dan memiliki pemandangan kota Jakarta yang cukup indah.
Breakfast: 3.5/5 - They actually have a nice restaurant with some selections. They got lots of drink selections (more fruit juices), but the taste of the main food was so-so: not bad, but not the best either.
Sarapan Pagi: 3.5/5 - Mereka sebenarnya memiliki restoran yang bagus dengan beberapa pilihan makanan. Mereka memiliki banyak pilihan minuman (jus buah lebih banyak), tetapi rasa makanan utama sedang-sedang saja: tidak buruk, tetapi bukan yang terbaik juga.
3. Location: 4/5 - It was a perfect location if your main plan is to travel around Monas, The Old town, Istiqlal Mosque, Catedral Church, Museums, etc. It’s located in Passer Baroe which is the oldest market in Jakarta since 1820. However it’s not a luxurious location.
4. Overall service: 4/5 - The staff were pleasant. Generally speaking they were helpful and friendly. But they only gave us 1 room card for each room.
5. Value: 4.5/5 - For that price, you can’t really complain too much. It was so cheap for a 4-star hotel.
3. Lokasi: 4/5 - Merupakan lokasi yang sempurna jika rencana utama kamu adalah berkeliling Monas, Kota Tua, Masjid Istiqlal, Gereja Catedral, Museum, dll. Terletak di Passer Baroe yang merupakan pasar tertua di Jakarta dari tahun 1820. Namun itu bukan lokasi yang mewah.
4. Servis Secara Keseluruhan: 4/5 - Staf sangat menyenangkan. Secara umum mereka sangat membantu dan ramah. Tetapi mereka hanya memberi kami 1 kartu kamar untuk setiap kamar.
5. Harga: 4.5/5 - Untuk harga seperti itu, kamu tidak bisa terlalu banyak mengeluh. Itu sangat murah untuk hotel bintang 4.
